A Staircase Worth Coming Home To

This staircase remodel proves that one focused update can completely change the feel of an entire home. The original staircase featured plain oak railings, dated white spindles, and wall-to-wall carpet treads that made the two-story foyer feel builder-grade and unremarkable. The transformation replaced everything — new dark-stained newel posts, warm wood handrails, and sleek brushed nickel balusters now run the full length of both the main staircase and the upper landing, creating a cohesive, polished look from every angle. Hardwood-capped stair treads paired with a neutral patterned carpet runner add texture and warmth while grounding the updated aesthetic. The surrounding walls were refreshed to a clean, light gray that lets the staircase speak for itself. What was once an overlooked passageway is now one of the most striking features in the home.

Client Quote

“We remodeled our entryway staircase and bannisters, along with flooring and paint for most of the upstairs and entryway. They worked with us on choices, each step of the process, and when one element wasn’t appearing how we’d hoped, they offered insightful solutions. The communication was open and timely. We will use them again!”
