Correcting Past Construction While Creating a Spa-Like Retreat

Work on this project for our clients in Broomall began with a complete reconfiguration of their primary bathroom, addressing long-standing issues caused by a poorly executed second-story addition that was done by a prior homeowner. Wenger Remodeling corrected deficiencies in insulation, electrical systems, and plumbing—issues that had previously caused pipes to freeze during cold weather—before expanding the footprint of the primary bath with minimal impact to the adjacent bedroom. The redesigned space now functions as a true retreat, featuring a barrier-free shower with three shower functions, a double furniture-style vanity, matte black fixtures, bold black-and-white patterned tile, and nickel gap shiplap accent walls that add texture and warmth.

The hall bathroom renovation focused on durability and clean, timeless design. A tub/shower combination was finished with large-format wall tile to minimize grout lines and simplify maintenance, paired with matte gold fixtures for a refined contrast. Shiplap accent walls were incorporated here as well, creating visual continuity between the two bathrooms while allowing each space to maintain its own identity. Together, the renovations resolve critical structural and mechanical issues while delivering two thoughtfully designed bathrooms that feel cohesive, comfortable, and built to last.
